I’m just a bit worried because I have a ton of classes to take, including science, business and spanish ones. I still am planning on graduating in 4 years. But, I’m not sure how this classes business is going to work out. I don’t want a heavy load next semester because I will be taking my MCATs. I have set up appointments with my advisors, so hopefully they can help me out!
Marketing has been one long and tedious class this entire semester. Our final test is tomorrow and I can’t wait! Hopefully everything goes well because I have to get close to a 100% in order to get an A. I’ve tried my best and I’ll leave the rest up to whatever I have studied.
So on this next finance exam, which is apparently on Thursday, I definitely have to study. I thought I would not have to take the final, but that isn’t the case anymore! I actually need to get a pretty decent grade on this 3rd exam and take the final. I wish I could have got myself to study more for the second exam and that way, I wouldn’t have had to take the final.
Today’s the last day of Thanksgiving Break. It’s time to go back to Tucson…which means it’s time to start studying. I brought all my books up from Tucson because I thought I’d be able to get some work done. But, that definitely did not happen! Instead, I caught up on many hours of lost sleep and ate a lot of food!
I know these past couple weeks have been crazy for everyone, but it feels like such a huge burden is off of my shoulders. I know others can relate. Even though it seems we are done, there are still a lot of things that need to get done. All of the finals are still coming up. We just have to pull through for the last couple weeks!
This weekend is absolutely crazy. I’m sure this is the case with everyone! Editing and sifting through the business plan is really miserable. All the information is there, it’s just a matter of rewording and formatting. I can’t wait until the next two weeks are over!
I’m not exactly sure how I feel about the marketing exam…I went through the test and it seemed to be going pretty good. Then I did the mistake of going back and really analyzing my answers. This just led to a disaster and all of a sudden I wasn’t very confident about a lot of my answers. So, I really can’t predict how the test went…I guess I’ll have to wait until grades come out. *sigh*
Now that this test is over with, I get to study for biochem. The studying never ends…Even though I have to do this, I’m excited because One Tree Hill comes on tonight! After some studying, I’ll spend some time relaxing, then I get to study again…
Finance 311 was a pleasant surprise today. During class, our teacher announced that we should work in our cohort project groups on the financial statements. However, she said that we were free to leave if we wanted to. This was because the people who were supposed to discuss the financials didn’t come. So…we got leave early! It was really exciting because this is my only class on tuesdays.
Two Thursdays ago, my group and I had to do a presentation for our B AD 314 class. However, as you all know, only two people were required to present. After a lot of discussion in my group, we decided that one of the girls and I would present. I had known my partner for the past year because she was in my Math 115 a and b classes also. We had to work on the PowerPoint the night before because all of us were so incredibly busy with other homework and deadlines. She came over to my house and we started working on the presentation. Throughout the entire time, she wasn’t very helpful in finding the correct information and putting it in the slides. I primarily had to organize the information and format the slides.
Regardless, towards the evening, she started watching t.v. while I continued to work on the project. I already knew this project was going downhill. Finally, the PowerPoint got done and we started to practice. Now the time was around midnight and my partner was getting tired. So we practiced once and both of us were a little iffy on the information, just because we didn’t know what all we wanted to say. We decided that she was going to go home and practice by herself. In the morning, we met earlier to practice and go over the slides. This entire time, I had to tell her what to say for each slide. We didn’t get to practice my slides, which didn’t really matter, because I know how I present in front of people.
Nonetheless, we practiced and in class we were the second group to present. During the first presentation, we went outside to rehearse and everything was going just fine. But, the minute we got inside and were ready to present, my partner could not remember what she was supposed to say. There were long gaps and pauses between every other sentence. Because she presented the first half of the slides, I nearly ran out of time to present for mine. I tried speaking as calmly and effectively as I could.
I understand that she probably just got really nervous in front of the whole class. But the thing is, is that it was my grade also. Because of her lack of performance, my grade is going to decrease significantly 
I just hope that it doesn’t happen like this for our final presentation.
The beginning of last week was insanely busy with all of the cohort exams for marketing and finance. On top of that, it got really crazy when you add physics and biochem tests to that mix! After some serious studying I was completely ready for the season 3 premiere of Grey’s Anatomy. I had recently got hooked to this series over the summer and watched the entire season 1. After seeing these shows, I could not believe I hadn’t been keeping up with this series!
Anyhow, I didn’t get the chance to see any episodes from season 2. So before they showed the first episode for season 3, they had a recap of everything that happened in season 2. Pretty much the entire time, I was staring at the screen with my jaw open because I couldn’t believe that so much stuff had happened. I mean its understandable as it was an entire season, but still. Just relaxing and watching tv was amazing! After watching the premiere, I was a little disappointed because I think I was expecting a lot from the episode. The atmosphere in the show was overall very sad and depressing. I guess we’ll see how this week’s episode turns out. Hopefully it ends on a happier note than the last one. I really love watching shows like this because I get really involved in whatever is going on in the show. Also, it’s so great to get an idea on how surgeries are because that is something I definitely want to do in the future.
